The Mendrisio is an all-terrain road bike. Named for the place where Eddy Merckx won his second world title in 1971, it's a very capable all-terrain road bike. At the time, the Mendrisio was a battle between Merckx and his eternal rival, Felice Gimondi. Gimondi attacked time and again, but couldn't shake off his younger rival. The race ended in a sprint, which Merckx won thanks to his explosiveness.
That explosiveness is in the Mendrisio. It's a fast, performance-oriented, and comfortable endurance bike, built for long rides.
